Biomass Gasification Power Generation Technology
Biomass gasification technology is an energy utilization technology that uses biomass material to produce gas or generate electricity. At present, more gasification technologies are applied to biomass gasification for gas supply and biomass gasification for power generation. Biomass gasification power generation technology mainly includes three parts: biomass pyrolysis gasification system, biomass gas purification system and biomass power generation system.
Biomass raw materials need to be dried or crushed upon gasification equipment require, and then fed into the gasifier by feeding device. After pyrolysis and oxidation of biomass raw materials, flammable gases are produced, and impurities such as dust and tar are removed by gas purification system. Finally, the clean gas passes through the water seal and is fed into the gas storage tank by the blower fan. The purified gas can not only be used for fuel gas supply, but also directly drive generator units to generating electricity. These fuel gases and generated electricity power can not only provide users for their own needs, but also be supply fuel gas or power to the national pipe network or national power grid to residential users.
According to several years of project operation experience，it shows that biomass gasification technology plays an active role in many aspects, such as dealing with a large number of crop wastes, reducing environmental pollution and improving people's living standards.
I. Biomass Pyrolysis and Gasification System
Biomass gasification technology is a thermo chemical reaction technology which uses oxygen or air as gasification agent and converts the combustible part of biomass fuel into combustible gas (mainly hydrogen, carbon monoxide and methane) at high temperature. The whole gasification process is mainly divided into drying, pyrolysis, oxidation and reduction. It plays an active role in dealing with a large number of crop wastes, reducing environmental pollution and improving people's living standards.
Fluidized bed gasification technology is an advanced technology. The core temperature of fluidized bed gasifier is 750 ~ 800℃. The fluidized bed gasifier is suitable for biomass materials with features of higher moisture content, low calorific value and difficult ignition. However, the raw materials require a fairly small particle size, which can large-scale and efficiently utilize biomass energy.
II. Biomass Gas Purification System
Biomass gasification is an energy conversion process that combusts and reduces biomass raw materials under anoxic conditions. In this process, when biomass solid material is converted into combustible synthetic gas, it will be accompanied by a large amount of dust and tar. These gaseous impurities can cause corrosion, blockage and pollution to pipes, cookers and other equipment. Therefore, it is necessary to purify the produced biomass gas properly.
The gas purification system adopted by our company is wet multi-stage purification system. This multi-stage filtering method mainly connects the first-stage cyclone dust collector and secondary stage dust Collector, the then 4 in 1 wet clean towers and drop catcher and secondary purify tanks in the gasifier system. This method of gas purification can effectively remove the dust and tar in the gas to provide perfect quality of fuel gas to users equipment so as to lengthen service life of users’ equipment and reduce the maintenance cost of fuel gas users’ equipments, and avoid secondary pollution of air, soil caused by biomass gas. The biomass gas purification system has the characteristics of simple operation, high purification efficiency, low cost and low investment.
III. Biomass Gasification Power Generation System
Biomass gasification power generation is mainly driven by biomass gas generating units.
